Unlike some other professions (think doctors, educators and anyone working in Africa), designers are not often celebrated (barring their own parties and certain blocks of New York and San Francisco). That's why we’re pleased to celebrate and mark ‘World Graphics Day.’

“World Graphic Day is celebrated on 27 April, because this is the day in 1963 when Icograda, the world body for graphic design, was founded. It is a day to celebrate the profession of communication design globally. The day has been celebrated since 1995. On this occasion, designers reflect and hope that our international network can contribute to a greater understanding between people and can help to build bridges where divides and inequities exist.

Here at Gesso, we’re going to take our reflecting and hoping for greater understanding one step further. That’s right. We’re going to fix the rotary. You’re welcome.

Gesso with a 'G'

When you work in communications, the bar is pretty high when it comes to creating your own identity.
Ours began in a grocery store and came to life at a farmer’s market. Which makes the Red Rabbit
hardly surprising – down to earth, industrious, and kind of wily. Yup, that’s us.
