Identity comprises a number of elements - your name, your logo, your colours, your stance on life. It's the foundation you build your business on and the legacy you leave. That said, having a fabulous and engaging identity is not 100% mandatory. It just makes the whole marketing thing a lot easier, which is a nice place to start.
